About STEP
Mission Was Stated As
People with disabilities will be empowered in every way possible through coordination with non-disabled at state and International level initiating from the grassroots level. Less privileged PWDs will be enabled to earn their living independently by the promotion of their activities and talents.

Need for Disability Movement
Still there was a vacuum, to be filled up by Self-help organizations of Persons with disabilities to develop programs for capacity-building to empower their members, including youth and women with disabilities, to take consultative and leadership roles in the community at large as well as in their own organizations and enable them to serve as trainers in the development of leadership and management skills of members of self-help organizations.
