Disability Equality Training at Bahria University Islamabad – January 2010

In January 2010, the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) organized a comprehensive Disability Equality Training (DET) session at Bahria University, Islamabad. This initiative aimed to raise awareness and foster a more inclusive environment within the university community.

The training sessions, held on the Bahria University campus, focused on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and address the challenges faced by persons with disabilities. Through interactive discussions, case studies, and role-playing exercises, attendees gained valuable insights into promoting disability rights and implementing inclusive practices.

This DET initiative by STEP underscores the importance of disability inclusion in educational institutions. By empowering faculty, staff, and students with the right tools and knowledge, Bahria University is taking significant steps towards creating a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

Bahria University’s commitment to fostering inclusivity through such training programs marks a crucial step towards ensuring equal opportunities and accessibility for all students, regardless of their abilities.
