National Consultation Workshop on Barriers to Inclusive Development 2010
On March 16, 2010, the Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP), in collaboration with Sightsavers, DFID, and CHIP Organization, organized a National Consultation Workshop titled “Barriers to Inclusive Development – Policies and Practices” in Islamabad. This significant event aimed to identify and address the challenges hindering inclusive development in Pakistan.
The workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including policymakers, practitioners, and representatives from various organizations, to discuss and develop strategies for overcoming the barriers to inclusive development. Key topics included policy gaps, practical challenges, and the need for collaborative efforts to promote disability inclusion in all aspects of development.
The event highlighted the importance of inclusive policies and practices, emphasizing the need for a coordinated approach to ensure that development initiatives are accessible and beneficial to all members of society, particularly persons with disabilities.
