On January 21, 2025, the Provincial Consultation and Training Workshop under the Global Disability Innovation Hub, UCL x Special Talent Exchange Program (STEP) – OPD Capacity Building and Impact Pilot, part of the #AT2030Programme funded by #UKAid, took place in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Pakistan.
Empowering OPDs for Inclusive Change
Organized by STEP in collaboration with NEPWO (Nowshera Special People Welfare Organization), the workshop gathered key stakeholders, including policymakers, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). The discussions centered around enhancing access to Assistive Technology (AT), advocating for disability rights, and strengthening OPD capacities to drive meaningful impact.
