Position Title: Provincial Coordinator

Location: Provincial Capital (Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, or Balochistan)
Contract Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term
Reporting to: Project Director
Purpose of the Role:
The Provincial Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the INGO funded disability rights project at the provincial level. This role requires strong project coordination skills, community engagement experience, and the ability to manage relationships with local stakeholders. The Provincial Coordinator will work closely with the central project team to ensure the successful execution of activities, tailored to the specific context of the province, and will play a key role in advocating for disability rights at the local level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Implementation & Coordination:
○ Lead the implementation of project activities within the assigned province, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
○ Develop a detailed provincial work plan, coordinating with the central project team to align timelines and activities.
○ Monitor the progress of provincial activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks and reporting any challenges to the Project Director. - Stakeholder Engagement:
○ Establish and maintain strong relationships with provincial stakeholders, including government officials, Organisations of Persons with Disabilities, community leaders, and local partners.
○ Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions with stakeholders to promote inclusive policies and raise awareness about disability rights.
○ Act as the primary point of contact for provincial stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and gathering feedback. - Community Mobilization & Advocacy:
○ Lead community outreach efforts to engage beneficiaries, including persons with disabilities and their families, in project activities.
○ Advocate for disability-inclusive policies and practices at the provincial level, collaborating with local authorities and partners.
○ Support the development and dissemination of advocacy materials tailored to the provincial context. - Monitoring & Reporting:
○ Assist in data collection and monitoring activities, ensuring accurate and consistent data reporting from the field.
○ Prepare regular progress reports, summarizing provincial activities, achievements, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
○ Provide feedback to the central M&E team on provincial-level project performance and suggest areas for adaptive management. - Capacity Building & Support:
○ Identify capacity-building needs for local partners and stakeholders, coordinating relevant training sessions and workshops.
○ Provide ongoing support to local project staff, ensuring they have the necessary resources and guidance for effective implementation.
○ Facilitate the exchange of best practices and lessons learned between the provincial and central project teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related field.
- 3-4 years of experience in project coordination, community engagement, or advocacy, preferably within the non-profit or development sector.
- Proven experience working with local stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and community organizations.
- Strong understanding of disability rights, inclusive governance, and community mobilization strategies.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills in English and Urdu; fluency in the local language of the assigned province is an asset.
