More than 400 Young People Prepared to take Social Actions after attending Active Citizen Workshops

In partnership with British Council Pakistan, 14 workshops were conducted by STEP under Active Citizens Program. More than 400 young people from diversified backgrounds and educational institutions were engaged in these workshops and have initiated 28 social action projects.

Active Citizens links civil society networks, community leaders and community networks in Pakistan, UK and 22 other countries across the world to deepen trust and understanding within and between communities. Participants become skilled in cross cultural communication and dialogue, and its effective role in community action. Linkages are developed with young people in UK and other countries in the region such as Bangladesh and Nepal. Partners and young leaders share experiences of community engagement through dialogue, and become a part of a global network of Active Citizens.ln addition to conducted workshop resource persons from STEP connect young leaders to mentors and community leaders to strengthen their ideas for social change in join collaboration with (Volunteer Services Overseas (VSO) and British Council.
